ATRIUM Participated in EADH 2026
At the European Association for Digital Humanities (EADH) Conference 2026 in Kraków, ATRIUM researchers presented ongoing work on linking and visualising multidisciplinary spatial data.
The presentation focused on two core case studies: the St James’s Gardens Burial Grounds archaeological archive in London and historical data on parish-level agriculture, population, and land ownership in Östergötland, Sweden. Key updates highlighted progress made to date, including the foundation of a special collection at the Archaeology Data Service (ADS) and a proof-of-concept interactive mapping platform built in Peripleo to display the Swedish dataset.
Looking ahead, the team will integrate the Swedish data into the ARIADNE Portal and refine the Peripleo visualisations using XML schema. These initial demonstrators are currently being expanded into a generic workflow for interdisciplinary, place-based research, which will be published on the SSH Open Marketplace following peer review.
